Professional Experience

Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry – Atatürk Horticultural Central Research Institute | Researcher (1988 – 2014)

  • Conducted long-term research programs on walnut, almond, and chestnut.
  • Served as project leader and co-researcher in TÜBİTAK and TAGEM projects.
  • Participated in UPOV characterization studies for 14 standard walnut varieties.
  • Contributed to the selection breeding of the Oğuzlar 77 walnut variety.
  • Delivered extensive training to producers and technical staff across Turkey.
  • Completed professional training programs in Japan and Turkmenistan.
  • Joined congresses, symposia, and technical training events in France, Spain, and Portugal.
  • Carried out technical inspection visits in Bulgaria and Greece.

Polisan Holding | Operations Manager (2014 – 2016)

  • Planned and managed agricultural operations on approximately 10,000 decares of land.
  • Oversaw land consolidation, orchard establishment, seedling production, grafting, and planting.
  • Managed 1,400-decare private afforestation areas and supported investments in medicinal plants and livestock.
  • Led a team of around 20 staff and 4 technical personnel.

Timac Agro Eurasia | R&D Manager / ATC ( 2017 – 2019 )

  • Conducted R&D on plant nutrition products under different soil and climate conditions.
  • Managed technical and commercial operations with Agricultural Credit Cooperatives.
  • Provided technical consultancy and training to producers and regional partners.

Almey Global | Field Engineer (2020-2022)

  • Led the adoption of pruning, mulching, and kaolin applications in avocado orchards.
  • Provided technical consultancy for pre- and post-harvest production processes.
  • Created the Avocado Academy social media channel, reaching approximately 700,000 views.
  • Prepared detailed technical reports based on producer visits and field observations.

Tartect Agriculture | Operations Manager (2022 – 2023)

  • Managed approximately 2,000 decares of fruit production in Uşak/Eşme.
  • Oversaw stone and pome fruit production, harvest logistics, and marketing.

Independent Agricultural Consultant (2023 – Present)

  • Provides consulting on walnut, almond, and avocado cultivation.
  • Supports growers with orchard setup, pruning, fertilization, irrigation, and yield management.
  • Prepared more than 100 technical reports and conducted over 20 producer training sessions (village meetings).
  • Published 4 farmer brochures on walnut, almond, avocado, and plant nutrition.
